Ok everyone. I'm starting a thread.


Please ignore the "newbie" under my name. I'm supposed to be a moderator. Ali's asleep right now, but dont worry, she'll get a b i t c h slapping when she wakes up.

Everyone has to post their schedules.

I will be home from Friday the 21 to Sunday the 23.

Then again from Wednsday the 24 to Sunday the 30.

Then you all will see me for a month on December 10, when I get home for CHRISTMAS BREAK :: dances::

I cannot WAIT for christmas because I love the season and now I have a month to revel in the "christmasness" of it all. Getting a tree, helping Kat set up her huge ass tree in their tall ass living room...fighting over ornaments...POSADAS...food, lots of food, family, TONS OF FAMILY, ceara ::squeal::, and my mom's never ending christmas music.

I think i almost love the season more than I love the day. Hm.

Who'se up for Midnight Mass this year?

TUESDAY, NOV. 25 -- at 3:45 in the afternoon (after my afternoon classes) board bus to Laredo.


WEDNESDAY, NOV. 26 -- somewhere between 3 and 4 in the morning, arrive in Laredo. The plans for this are still a bit sketchy, but it may involve cousins and IHOP. (Well, for those of us there at that hour, anyway.)

Rebeca and John, when you are guys getting into town on Wed. because I want us to all go to Tacolare and to go see the movie Love Actually and if you guys get in late that will totally piss me off.


THURSDAY, NOV. 27 -- Thanksgiving at the ranch with everyone. Then maybe another movie with all the cousins put together (I don't remember if Tacolare is open on Thanksgiving).


FRIDAY, NOV. 28 -- well, LSU plays Ark at 1:30 on CBS I think, plus we also have the Sonny Marathon on SoapNet playing all day (but we can skip the last couple of hours). Possibly Tacolare.


SATURDAY, NOV. 29 -- who knows what happens on this day...maybe we'll do Tacolare if we haven't already done it. Or Chili's or IHOP. Definitely a movie.


SUNDAY, NOV. 30 -- I board the early bus back to Baton Rouge.


SATURDAY, DEC. 13 -- I have a couple of exams, then afterward I board the bus back to Laredo.


SUNDAY, DEC. 14 -- arrive in Laredo where you all will see me until late January sometime.


Okay, that pretty much does it. Anyone else?

On Wednesday we could be out of Edinburg by 2 and be in Laredo (at the latest) by 5. But your sister takes a while to get ready and then she'll start watching GH even though its being recorded. But hey! I'm not bitter about it.....nooooooooo. But she improve somewhat last time...we were in laredo around 6:30 as opposed to the usual 8 o'clock. I could probably leave earlier if I skip my music class (he doesn't take roll and he's probably expecting it anyway). It all depends on Beca. 8-)

My advice is to do everything in your power to leave WAY before GH starts...if it starts and she's watching it she won't want to leave.

I just talked to Marili -- she says that if I can round up enough cousins they can all go pick me up at the bus station. But she sounds skeptical. There aren't many of us that would be able to go though...just me, her, Jimmy, Miguel and Joey. SIGH.

But yeah... I like riding with beca in the truck...shes cool, but one time when I went without her I made it to laredo around 1pm.

First of all, I would like to say that this is a brilliant idea. Good job, Ali.

At the beginning of turkey week, I break the "teach" schedule and head to Austin to take the GRE. AAAAAAAck. Pray for me. Light candles. Anything. I haven't done math in ages!!

Then, I head back with lil' on the 25th. that's right I am skipping class. Again.

And perhaps I will head back to the classroom on the 26th. I can't remember if the knights have class the day before thanksgiving or not. I guess I should check, right?

Of course, I would love to be on the welcoming committee for those riding home on the burro express from baton rouge.

You'll do well, I'm sure of it. My mother took the GRE before she went for her Masters in nursing... she passed it and she hadn't had a math class in....

nah, you're still young. My mom was 40 something when she took the GRE. She told me Math was her worst subject in college, but she still passed it. So good luck!
